Australian of the Year Professor Michelle Simmons to present at GERRIC Gifted Education STEAM Conference

2018 Australian of the Year Professor Michelle Simmons (UNSW) and Professor Jiyoung Ryu and her team from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) will be among the presenters at the GERRIC Gifted Education STEAM Conference 2018 at UNSW Sydney.

The Conference will be held from 9am – 6.30pm on Friday 15 June at the John Goodsell Building on the UNSW Kensington campus.

It is the first-ever gathering of Australian and Korean teachers and researchers in the area of gifted STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) education.

The Conference’s parallel sessions will provide multiple opportunities for participants to gain an understanding of how gifted STEAM education is approached in Australia and Korea, exchange information about gifted STEAM programs in the two countries, and discuss possibilities for collaboration.

This event is hosted by GERRIC and is funded by the Australia-Korea Foundation (AKF) of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade as part of a project titled “ Collaboration on gifted STEAM programs in Australia and Korea”.
