Schoolies.com Celebrates 30^th Birthday by Slashing the Price of Attending 2019 Schoolies

As Schoolies Week approaches its 30^th year, central booking agent and event organiser Schoolies.com is slashing prices of 2019 schoolies packages by up to 50%, hoping this will give the opportunity for more school leavers to enjoy and celebrate Schoolies Week when it kicks off for it’s 30^th year.

This Super Sale on Schoolies will be a one-off for Schoolies.com, giving 2019 schoolies the chance to attend the time-honoured event for around the same price as their schoolie predecessors did in the events infancy in the late 1980’s.

Schoolies.com this year marks an incredible three decades as the central booking agent for Schoolies accommodation houses, having grown from humble beginnings to offer more than 100 hotels and apartments across the country and overseas.

While the Gold Coast attracts 90 per cent of bookings, other popular destinations include Lorne in Victoria, Byron Bay in NSW and Airlie Beach and the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, as well as Bali and Fiji.

Schoolies.com CEO Matt Lloyd said the company, which has catered for more than half a million people since launching, had seen the annual celebration undergo a huge transformation during the past 30 years.

 

“Having been on-board from the beginning, it’s mind-blowing that what started as a much smaller gathering of school leavers has evolved into a rite of passage enjoyed by tens of thousands of people,” he said.

 

“There’s no doubt schoolies are more savvy than they once were and you can see that by the accommodation many of them choose. You’re just as likely to see them staying in the Hilton Hotel and Mantra Circle on Cavill these days as a backpackers.”

 

Schoolies Week runs from 21 November until 6 December 2019 with more than 18,000 Queensland students expected to attend during the opening week before being replaced by about 12,000 of their NSW, Victoria and New Zealand counterparts.

 

The one-off Schoolies Super Sale is available to 2019 school leavers until May 31.
