COLES HEATS UP WINTER WITH NEW SAVINGS AND A POINTS BOOST TO HELP BUDGETS GO FURTHER

 

• 307 products on Down Down for 12 weeks offering savings of 19% on average
• First ever Flybuys “Activate Bonus Campaign[i]” gives customers 10x points on 800+ products in June

Coles is turning up the heat this winter by lowering the price of hundreds of products in store and online and launching a new Flybuys offer to help customers supercharge their points balances and get more value from their weekly shop.

 

From Wednesday 4 June, customers can save on 307 winter essentials and household staples across meat, bakery, pantry and dairy, providing an average saving of 19% for at least the next three months. 

 

The winter price reductions will add to the hundreds of products currently on Down Down pricing across stores. Starting Wednesday, customers will be able to shop an average of 588 products lowered in price every week until the end of August.

A recent survey[iii], of more than 6,000 Coles’ customers revealed two in three (66%) are cutting back on eating out, close to half (49%) are cooking more at home and more than one in three (36%) are actively seeking out specials before deciding where to shop to reduce grocery bills.

 

Coles Chief Commercial Officer Anna Croft said the savings are designed to help Australians get more value on products they can enjoy during the winter months. 

 

“This winter we’re investing in bringing prices down to deliver immediate relief at the checkout to our customers. Whether it’s a leg of lamb roasting in the oven, a freezer full of batch-cooked meals, or a simple stir-fry to feed hungry mouths, Coles is helping households make meals they love at lowered prices.”

 

For Aussies looking to accompany a hearty meal with a glass of wine, Liquorland is offering customers 10% off any six bottles of wine (excluding cask) in one transaction when they scan their Flybuys[iv]. Better yet, shoppers stocking up can toast to $50 off their next in-store Liquorland shop when they spend $250 in-store in one transaction and scan their Flybuys[v].

 

 

Activate Bonus Value with Flybuys – 10 x points on 800+ products

 

Coles is launching its first ever ‘Activate Bonus Value Points’ offer – helping customers boost their points balances to receive $10 off their in-store shop faster when they activate their Flybuys offers in the Coles or Flybuys app.

 

From Wednesday 4 June until Tuesday 1 July, customers will collect 10x bonus points every time they shop from a selected range of more than 800 products, including popular brands such as OMO, Colgate, Pantene, Lindt, Sakata, as well as Coles Asia and Coles Made Easy ranges.  

 

During June customers wanting to boost their points balance are encouraged to activate every time they shop, with data revealing that members who activate their digital offers weekly collect points four times faster than customers who don’t[vi]. Offers can include bonus points, money off and even free products.

 

“This 10x points offer on more than 800 brands for four weeks gives Flybuys members the chance to supercharge their points balance and help them get to 2,000 points faster, which is all you need to redeem $10 off your shop[i],” said Anna. 

 

Liquorland is also offering 10x bonus points on selected products to celebrate an action-packed season of sports from now until Tuesday 22 July 2025[vii]. Fans can score more by purchasing a participating product from popular brands each week including Smirnoff, Hahn, Johnnie Walker, Hard Rated, Jacob’s Creek, Pepperjack and more.
