$95,000 in sixes, thanks Queensland Country Bank!

 

The year has started extra well for a certain young physiotherapist in Brisbane, who has won Queensland Country Bank’s HIT YOUR BILLS FOR SIX competition, meaning she takes home a prize pool of $95,000 thanks to the big hitters of the Brisbane Heat!

Lelia W, a 25-year-old from East Brisbane, was told today she had won the $95,000 and couldn’t have been more excited, but cleverly said she would look at putting the money into property, saying: “I really want to do something smart with this money, to set me up for later in life.”

 

With no catches attached (pardon the pun 😉), Lelia simply entered, sent positive thoughts to the Heat’s big hitters and hoped for the best – and the wickets lined up! 

 

How the total got to $95,000: Thanks to a strong start with Brisbane Heat’s  Laura Harris, Grace Harris, Jess Jonassen and Jemimah Rodrigues in WBBL taking the total to $29,000, then boys then took the tally to a life-changing $95,000, which has been handed over, with players Jack Wood and Will Prestwidge  celebrating.

 

BBL Brisbane Heat opener Matt Renshaw was happy to be the banker when it came to clearing the boundary in the BBL this season. The experienced batsman has cashed in in the middle order on numerous occasions this season, blasting 17 sixes in BBL14 which was the fifth-most sixes hit in the competition:

 

“It’s pretty cool to think that the sixes from the Heat players from the WBBL and BBL were rewarded by Queensland Country Bank, with the result being that we can helped deliver a really significant prize for one of our fans,” he said.
