Regionally-based SA women invited to attend 'Rewiring wealth and wellness' workshops - Rabobank

Practical workshops designed to give regionally-based women skills and tools to improve financial ‘wellness’ are to be held in South Australia late this month.

 

Hosted by food and agribusiness banking specialist Rabobank and the bank’s South Australian Rabo Client Council, the Rewiring Women’s Wealth and Wellness workshops will be offered – free of charge – in Coonawarra and Clare on July 29 and 31 respectively.

 

The workshops, which are run in partnership with women’s financial advocate Zoe Lamont, have been delivered across regional Australia since 2012 and are designed to provide women in regional locations with access to financial education in their own communities.

 

The interactive workshops have been developed for rural women – both farmers and those living regionally – to take time to “pause, reflect, and reconnect with their goals, finances and wellbeing”.

 

Facilitated by Ms Lamont, co-founder of Farm Door and Verve Super and a passionate advocate for women’s financial empowerment, the sessions focus on individual goal setting and the development of money management strategies to help achieve those goals.

 

Ms Lamont said attendees should expect an uplifting day – designed to help define a personal version of wealth, align money with meaning, and provide tools to be able to step confidently into the next chapter.

 

“Expect laughter, connection, and practical tools to support your journey – all in a supportive, inspiring space,” she said.

 

Ms Lamont said the aim of the sessions is for attendees to walk away with “a powerful personal vision for the decade ahead”.

 

The day-long workshop is designed to “help create goals that give you goosebumps – crafted from purpose – not pressure,” she said.

 

“The goal is for women to leave the workshop with a money mission for the new financial year and beyond – exploring values-aligned spending and intentional investment choices,” Ms Lamont said. “And it’s important to have clarity on what wealth really means to you – not just dollars, but freedom, time, joy and peace of mind.”

 

Ms Lamont will provide insights into “wellbeing rituals” and developing a renewed sense of self-worth. “Your self-talk can shape your bank balance,” she said.

 

The workshops are an initiative led and funded by Rabobank’s Rabo Client Council, a group of innovative, forward-thinking clients who are passionate about making a difference in their communities and who support initiatives with the goal of making a meaningful impact on the vibrancy and resilience of rural Australia.

 

Rabobank state manager for South Australia Roger Matthews said the workshop program – initiated through the Rabo Client Council – was one way the bank, together with its farming clients, could tackle some of the challenges facing the ag sector and regional communities.

 

The Rabo Client Council network is focussed on developing meaningful grassroots initiatives to support key themes focusing on building industry capacity, championing rural-wellbeing, sustainability and strengthening the rural urban connection.

 

Mr Matthews said the Rewiring Women’s Wealth and Wellness workshops are intended to empower regional women and help provide them with essential tools for achieving success.

 

“Women play such a crucial role in their business, community and family and we hope that by attending these workshops they feel empowered to achieve some of their longer-term financial goals, while also bolstering rural and regional communities and enhancing resilience,” he said.

 

“If you’re interested in attending a workshop and developing new skills, confirm your place before the sessions are fully allocated,” Mr Matthews said. “The workshops are open to clients and non-clients of Rabobank and there is no cost for participants to attend.”

• Tuesday, 29 July 2025 – 8.30am – 3.00pm (Coonawarra)
• Thursday, 31 July 2025 – 8.30am – 3.00pm (Clare)
