  • Seven global partners, customers, and suppliers recognised for outstanding performance in decarbonisation

Sydney, 8 July 2025 – Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, announced today the global winners of its third annual Sustainability Impact Awards. The list of winners includes seven of Schneider Electric’s partners, customers, and suppliers for their work as sustainability leaders in their respective markets.

These awards recognise outstanding performance in decarbonisation, within winners’ own operations and/or by helping their customers decarbonise.

The Sustainability Impact Awards celebrate the vital role played by Schneider Electric's partner ecosystem in fostering a more sustainable and electrified future. This year’s list of winners illustrates the wide network of collaboration required in sustainability initiatives, from customers and suppliers to channel partners.

Entrants were assessed on their strategies to build an Electricity 4.0 future, emphasising the need for more electrification and digitalisation to execute on their decarbonisation strategies. Their applications showcased improvements in energy efficiency, the adoption of digital technologies, and other significant innovations contributing to impactful change. The criteria also highlighted broader efforts to achieve net-zero targets through the electrification and digitisation of their operations.

“The achievements of this year’s Sustainability Impact Awards winners demonstrate how electric, digital, and automation solutions combine as key enablers of the global energy transition,” said Frédéric Godemel, Executive Vice President of Energy Management at Schneider Electric. “But it is collaboration, across partners, customers, and suppliers, that truly unlocks our collective potential and accelerates meaningful change. Their pioneering efforts in decarbonisation, digitalisation, and electrification are not only shaping a more sustainable future, but also inspiring hope. I am proud to celebrate the success of such brilliant players, united by a shared purpose."

The global winners of the 2024 Sustainability Impact Awards include:

  • GetWorks Co., Ltd., Japan: GetWorks is transforming data centre sustainability by utilising renewable energy sources like snow, water, and outside air for cooling, alongside solar and biomass power generation. This innovative approach has enabled GetWorks  to achieve a 100% renewable energy rate and reduced power consumption by up to 176 MW/building per year. GetWorks also leverages Schneider Electric's water-cooled air conditioner, InRow, to further enhance efficiency.

  • Magnom Properties, Egypt: Magnon Properties is redefining the future of sustainable architecture with a bold vision to lead on a global scale. Confronting the urgent challenges of climate change and carbon reduction, the company engineered the $1 billion Forbes International Tower to operate entirely off-grid, leveraging advanced energy-efficient design, integrated photovoltaics, and hydrogen power. The result is a next-generation skyscraper that dramatically cuts energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, setting a new benchmark for climate-smart real estate. Schneider Electric has been a vital digital transformation enabler, empowering the project through cutting-edge EcoStruxure™ solutions and intelligent building software to deliver a smarter, more sustainable, and highly efficient built environment.

  • Capgemini Technology Services, India: Capgemini has achieved an impressive 50% reduction in energy consumption across its operations. The company has also been successful in transitioning to 100% renewable electricity and is the first IT company in India to be 100% renewable in its operations. Capgemini's Energy Command Centre, powered by Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure platform, plays a crucial role in optimising energy management, contributing to a 29% reduction in energy consumption.

  • Toyota Argentina S.A., Argentina: Toyota Argentina is driving sustainability through its comprehensive CO2 Emissions Reduction Program, having achieved 57% reduction in CO2 emissions between 2019 and 2023. The company also relies entirely on renewable electricity, purchasing 83 GWh/year from wind and solar sources. On the plant level, Toyota Argentina utilises 220 Schneider Electric power meters to monitor electrical energy consumption, enhancing its energy management capabilities.

  • Equinix, Inc., USA: Equinix is honored for achieving 96% global renewable energy coverage, with 250 of its 260 data centres offering 100% renewable energy coverage to customers. Equinix has also contributed to the development of 1.2 GW of new renewable energy through power purchase agreements (PPAs) and through a $51 million investment in energy efficiency in 2024. It has also improved its global average power usage effectiveness (PUE) by 6% compared to 2023. The company leverages Schneider Electric for power quality monitoring and uses EcoStruxure Resource Advisor to track energy consumption.

  • Tricolite Electrical Industries Limited, India: As one of the top 1,000 suppliers in Schneider Electric’s The Zero Carbon Project, Tricolite reduced its operational carbon emissions intensity by 51% from 2019 to 2023 through smart technologies and sustainable upgrades. By leveraging EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert (PME), the company optimised its energy use. It further improved energy efficiency by installing High-Volume Low-Speed (HVLS) fans, replacing all pneumatic tools with electric ones, and 100% LED lighting across all facilities. The solar panels meet 48% of energy demand, underscoring its commitment to low-carbon manufacturing and environmental responsibility.

  • Knorr-Bremse AG, Germany: Knorr-Bremse aims to achieve net-zero emissions across all scopes by 2050, with interim targets to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 75% (versus 2018) and relevant Scope 3 emissions by 25% (versus 2021) by 2030. The company has significantly reduced its carbon footprint, among other measures, by continuously implementing a stringent energy efficiency program, promoting the switch from fossil fuels to renewable energy, and by sourcing 99% of its electricity from renewable sources. Knorr-Bremse is further committed to decarbonising its supply chain by sourcing low-emission materials and promoting energy efficiency improvements in supplier production processes. Its product portfolio enables energy- and emission-efficient operation of end-products during use-phase. It is one of the most consistent performers in Schneider Electric’s The Zero Carbon Project.

This year’s global honorees will be recognised as preferred customers, partners and suppliers, receive support for their sustainability initiatives, and obtain co-marketing materials along with a trophy.
